Baby O's due date is Friday!!! I am just so ready to meet him or her and see what he/she looks like. These past few weeks the anticipation has become so real. As we prep our lives for this new adventure I also made sure to prep our hospital bag so we could be on the ready. Technically, it's our birth center bag because we aren't going to a hospital, but you get the point. The biggest difference for us when it comes to packing the bag is we only stay at the birth center for 6-12 hours max after Baby O arrives. So unlike a hospital, we don't need 2-3 days/nights worth of clothes, etc. So I have all the same essentials you would pack for the hospital, just less of it. This post was highly requested from all you babes and I'm hoping it can help as you prep for your little ones arrival. Check out what's in my hospital bag below!

Hospital Bag Essentials
Vera Bradley Large Stroll Around Diaper Bag - I am so lucky my Grandparents got this for me. It is huge and the perfect bag for the hospital. Plus, it will be great for overnights and traveling with the baby! My specific pattern is sold out, but here are two different ones available - black & blue paisley
During Labor Goodies
Nursing Nightgown - I wanted to have this to wear during labor. I've heard it's nice just to have something loose fitting and comfortable. I also figured (if it stays clean) I could throw it on once baby arrives for nursing and snuggling.
Swimsuit (top & bottom) - I have the option for a water birth at the birth center, and do hope to do that. I wanted to bring a swimsuit for me (and for Kirby) just in case I'm not wanting to be fully nude. You just never know what you're going to want in the middle of labor.
Water Bottle with Straw - I can't say enough good things about this! I bought mine a few weeks ago and already can't stop using it. It was recommended to me for labor and I can totally see why. The straw makes it really easy for you husband to help keep you hydrated during the heat of it. You simply just squeeze the bottle for water to come out!
Socks - I've heard you may want these for during or after labor. I brought a special pair that was handmade by my sister-in-law.
Hair Clips and Scrungies - It can obviously get hot during labor so having these will be essential.
Essential Oils & Diffuser - I'm a huge lover of these and wanted to bring them to help keep a calm environment in the room. Lavender and eucalyptus will be used in the diffuser while peppermint will be put on my muscles to help soothe. I purchase my essential oils through Doterra.
Music - We plan to just play a meditation Spotify station during labor.
Always Discreet Boutique - I brought one of these to wear home. The birth center does still offer mesh underwear, but I figured I might as well bring one just in case it's more comfortable for me to wear on our ride back home.
Always Maxi Every Heavy Overnight (with wings) - I made sure to grab two of these pads because I have heard lots of stories about after baby and want to be prepared. If you know what I mean.

Snuggle & Nursing Time
Toiletries - toothbrush, deodorant, perfume, comb, lotion, shower essentials and makeup to freshen up when possible.
Going Home Looks
Aerie Hometown Sweatshirt (in lilac) - very over-sized fit which will be perfect for comfort.
Aerie Real Soft Black V-Neck Tee - the softest tee ever.
Aerie Real Soft Jogger - I really like these because of the thick band at the top.
Medela Nursing Sleep Bra - Lots of recommendations on this. I bought this as well. Seems very comfortable and affordable!
Fruit of the Loom Beyond Soft Bikini Panties - I brought two pairs just in case.
Baby O's Going Home Look
Since we don't know if it will be a boy or a girl we went with a gender neutral grey look. We do have a couple special things we brought depending on the gender that I won't reveal until he/she arrives!
White Hat & No Scratch Gloves
