Christmas time is mine and Kirby's favorite time of the year. We laughed when we started dating and realized the major obsession we each had. Growing up we both loved to decorate and that hasn't changed one bit. Last Christmas morning we found out we were pregnant with Addison so he's basically dubbed a Christmas baby. When I was scrolling through Pinterest the first few nights after having Addi I saw the cutest Christmas tree idea and knew right then that he needed his own tree. We are having a total of 3 tree's in our home this year and no, I'm not mad about it at all. Christmas tree's, greenery and lights are just a few of my favorite pieces for making a home holiday ready. I'm excited to reveal Addison's Christmas nursery decor with you and hope you can find some inspiration from it.
I wanted to keep things simple and clean, but still really festive and bright. I mean, he's a baby so red, green and sparkles need to be incorporated. His little 3 ft tree is the perfect size for his room. Putting it into a wicker basket and wrapping a blanket around it was the idea I found from Pinterest. We simply put some of the blanket in the bottom of the basket and then fit the little tree stand into the side of the wicker. If your basket ends up being bigger than ours you can simple place the tree on a box and hide it with the blanket. Easy as that and seriously so fun. Another fun thing we like to do in our household is wrap some of the frames on the wall. It brings a little extra fun to any room and the map above Addison's changing table was the perfect piece to wrap. It basically looks like a huge present on his wall. Who doesn't love big presents?!
