Simple Idea's for a Date Night In
Cook your favorite meal together - For this I don't just mean cook the same, simple dinner you make every week together. Find one of your favorite meals to have and recreate it together! Kirby and I love being in the kitchen together especially when it involves wine, food and pajamas.
Play a board game or do a puzzle - A tradition we have for anniversaries or date night's in are to play some of our favorite games no matter how long they take! Dominios is always on the top of our list, but Battle Ships, Guess Who and The Game of Life are a few of our favorites. We also found a puzzle that's a picture of the exact place we stayed in Cinque Terre so it's a ton of fun to finish that and talk about all the memories there!
Movie Night - build a comfy couch area, get al your favorite candy & treats, snuggle in & enjoy a couple movies (new or old). We are those people who always say we're going to watch a movie and never get to it. Make a point to watch your ever growing list!
Bake one of these yummy treats (recipes below) while sipping on some red wine.
Create a TikTok Video - Okay, before you laugh at this go download the app. Kirby and I had way too much fun creating a video together and hello... This is the easiest thing you could do together! If you enjoy creating content (picture and/or video taking), laughing together and utilizing team work - this is for you!
Make a romantic at-home spa night - Include masks, massages (with massage oil), candles, wine and even some chocolate covered strawberries! Simple and no one wants to turn down the chance for a free massage!

Homemade Desserts
In honor of Valentines Day I wanted to share some of my favorite desserts with you so you can share the sweetness! I think baking a sweet dish for the one you love is the easiest and most rewarding thing. It's basically a win, win as you'll most likely be the one snacking on it with them!
The recipes below are tried and true. I've made each of them more times than you can imagine. I've always loved baking and having recipes that are quick & easy to whip up are a most. I will warn you... They're dangerous because it's hard to turn down making them with how simple they all are!
Cake Like Brownies
- 1/2 margarine
- 2 medium eggs
- 2 tablespoon tap water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Melt margarine. Add eggs, tap water & sugar. Mix well! Add cocoa powder, salt & vanilla. Mix again. Add in the flour and baking powder and stir until smooth! I mix mine in a kitchen aid electric mixer. I also use a blender spoon to scrap and mix in the sides. Pour batter into a well oiled 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350 degree for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow too cool. *You can easily double these and put the in a 9x13 pan!
5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg

Mix everything together. Bake at 350 degrees f0r 8-10 minutes. Don't over bake! I usually let them sit a minute or 2 on the baking sheet before serving them. Makes about 12-15 cookies depending on size. This is the number one recipe I bake on a weekly basis - it's just too easy!
