Breakfast food is slowly, but surely becoming a favorite meal of mine. Once I got pregnant I needed to start putting that meal into my day. I usually keep things fairly simple with an English muffin and peanut butter, an egg and Morning Star sausage or one of my favorite avocado toast recipes (find those here). Oatmeal is really good for you with all the fiber it packs on so I started searching for new recipes. My Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal is definitely sweet, but it does taste exactly like a cinnamon roll. Plus it doesn’t pack on all the calories!
Next time I’ll cut pack on some of the powdered sugar because like I stated it was really sweet. It was super simple to make and definitely left me full. I’ve always been a fan of apple cinnamon oatmeal so this was an even better treat. Although stay tuned because I do think I’ll get crafty and make a fancy apple cinnamon oatmeal sooner than later. Breakfast food doesn’t have to be boring and it doesn’t have to take forever to make. I think trying new things on the weekends is what keeps me going. I also know that sticking with healthy options as help start my day out right!
