Happy Saturday Babes!
Once September hits the Oldenkamp household is filled with the sound of football and lots of Husker red! Kirby & I both LOVE football weekends of sitting around the house in sweat pants and eating way too much food. Sometimes (most of the time) we like to go ALL out and make a huge crockpot of some new fancy soup we found on Pinterest and a bunch of random, usually unhealthy, snacks to munch on all day; yes, there are only two of us. Sometimes, however, we like to head downtown with our friends and get a little crazy celebrating our favorite teams 🙂
So, onto the important stuff about game day… WHAT TO WEAR! I am always struggling with how to make my game day outfits more chic without looking like I tried too hard because in my mind, football is football and I’m here to win. End of discussion (#GBR). To be honest, I usually end up in the most basic of football outfits finished off with my basic white converse. So yes, this post is just as much for me as it is for you!
I included some outfit image ideas from two inspirational fashion babes, as well as my own game day look… Enjoy!
Kristin Cavallari does game day SO well. It may help that she is the designer of an amazing shoe line (here) and married to the Quarterback of the Chicago Bears. Or maybe I'm just biased because I'm a born and raised Chicago Bears fan... You decide 🙂
I love the way Christine, from Hello Fashion Blog, switches up her look with two different jackets. Notice she is wearing almost the exact same t-shirt in each picture, but the looks are so different! Perfection.
I love sporting Huskers gear... I have officially been a fan for almost 6 years! The very first Christmas I went home to meet some of Kirby's family, EVERYONE bought me something Huskers! I was laughing so much and luckily did not have a college team to root for, so I happily accepted them so freely welcoming me into the pack 😉 Kirby and I disagree on professional teams (I married a Cheesehead... Lord, pray for me! Ha!) so having Saturday college game day to celebrate and cheer together is so much fun. Here is my rendition of these looks.
