Whenever Spring and Summer come around I get so excited to start wearing my favorite bright colors. I don't know what it is, but bright colors only seem right in warm weather. Turquoise has been a huge love of my Mom's for as long as I can remember and she totally passed that obsession off to me. The blueish-green color is so beautiful to look at and brings such a fun pop of color to any style. My favorite is when it's paired with gold but paired with silver is just as beautiful. I guess you could say I'm addicted to turquoise and I don't think it will stop any time soon.

Turquoise was actually one of the first ever stones mined and is considered sacred to the Native Americans. Turquoise has been used as a powerful healing stone to connect people with Heaven and Earth. How cool is that? So not only is it beautiful, but it also amazing and totally life changing.

Turquoise & Gold

I was super excited to partner with JTV to help showcase the beautiful and elaborate selection they have to offer. As I said above, my favorite pieces are turquoise and gold so I was extremely happy to find the hundreds of different options to choose from. I am Italian and Dutch for those of you who don't know (I also have Irish and little German in there too) so as you can imagine I get pretty tan really quick once the sun heats up. To me, gold and turquoise looks so gorgeous against pretty sun-kissed skin. It just really pops and gives off the perfect Summer feel to any look.

I do think silver and turquoise are a really good pair as well. That look is way more popular in the Southwestern region and I've actually found a super cool ring in Cabo before. It's surprising how different silver and gold compliment the blueish-green color. Silver makes it much softer and gold really makes it pop. Either way, my addiction will always be high for turquoise and I know my mom's will too.

Pairing a Bright Color with Turquoise

As you babes know I have a major obsession with purple. I like every color, every shade and don't think I've ever found something purple I don't find cute. Something about the color has made me happy and has stuck with me ever since I was a little girl. I even had all my bridesmaids wear different colors of purple for our wedding because why not? I just love fitting purple into everything I possibly can and pairing it with turquoise is the best.

This adorable baby doll maternity top is basically the best thing ever. I love this shade especially for Spring & Summer and I think it's the perfect thing to pair with turquoise jewelry for a really good summertime look. There is nothing better than having the two most beautiful colors next to each other (maybe I'm bias). If you're not as obsessed with purple as I am that is totally fine. Any fun bright color will do well when paired with turquoise. A few that work best are orange, pink, blush, jade or even a pretty crisp white looks super chic. Anything you decided to pair it with I'm sure will look amazing because you really can't go wrong.
